My Heart's Quest #83 awahg theme + opt orange or green hearts on 28 Feb 2026

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: this posting showcases my newest design team inspiration projects for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog or HQCB. The main theme is "AWAHG" or Anything With A Heart Goes. And there are usually 2 specific colors of heart(s) that can be the twist or option for each session too.

For my AWAHG theme choice I had these elements together in a scrap card kit many months ago, maybe summer months, and thought this would be good for late Valentines or early spring season kind of refreshing card. There were more scrap cuts in the bag that were weeded out and this is my layered pink hearts creation.

For my optional orange &/or green hearts, I've gone for St. Patrick's Day vibe and have a green foil and a larger gold foil hearts together on watercolor swirl print CS.

when: #83 challenge session starts February 28 and ends on March 27, 2026.

what: Project #1: awahg choice of pink layered hearts

My FQCCCB #29 Anything Goes Country Christmas DT cards for Feb 2026

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: This post's purpose is to showcase my latest owner/design team inspiration projects for my FarmQuest Country Christmas Challenge Blog. The theme is the same every month: anything goes country Christmas which means exterior holiday decorations and the wintry outdoor animals, weather, snow-covered houses, etc.  For these similar cards, I have a snowy & starry night sky and Nativity stickers for outdoor Christmas cards. And I did a quick make of snowflakes and poinsettias for a non-traditional Christmas color palette of white, brown, gold and red.

when: #29 starts February 7, 2026 and ends on March 5, 2026.

what: Project #1 and #2:

how-to & vendor notes for #1 & #2: nighttime starry sky scenes

1. base is black paper(s) = from a 100 sheet multicolor paper pad = Hello Hobby by Walmart

2. white CS panels/scrap = Georgia Pacific

3. the nighttime starry sky print CS = from Apothecary paper pad 2023 by Fancy Pants Designs

5. ivory, light gray and black enamel accents (dots, hearts and/or stars) = same pack/neutral tones = Freckled Fawn

6. silver gel highlighter was applied around the perimeter of the white CS but the gel was crumbly/dried out so instead of trying to salvage or throw it away, I applied blue glitter!

7. Sapphire Blue super sheen glitter = Nuvo/Tonic Studio; used cotton-tip swabs to clean off as much glitter that didn't shake off into the trash can; still didn't get it all removed...or evenly applied either...sigh...

8. Nativity stickers = saved from solicited Christian organization mailer and finally used!!

where #1/#2 will be linked:

1A. Love Those Pretty Papers; new on Feb 7; theme is to focus on at least 1 designer pretty printed paper; My 'twin' Christmas cards have starry night sky patterned cardstock from FPD for the larger focal area plus each card has a short red plaid patterned paper, too.
