why: Having grown up with parents who've farmed for most of their lives plus their parents farmed, I have a love for rural living. The country charm of roadside wildflowers, tiny creeks, neighbors' ponds, old barns and corn cribs and other delights. Farmhouse and rural country village home kitchens seem to be the heart, the center, of the action and sensory memories of soup simmering or chicken roasting or cinnamon rolls baking. Mmm. FarmQuest HomeStyle Kitchen Challenges Blog or FQHSKCB is a crafting challenge blog with the theme of Anything Kitchen or Dining Goes.

why: This posting shares my love for country living through FarmQuest HomeStyle Kitchen Challenges Blog. The theme this year is 'AKDG' or anything kitchen or dining goes! That's easy! The first project has a quilted table top along with 2 place settings and a small vase of flowers on a round table. That's an Ai-generated image! The second project is a quirky fun one with folded and tied napkins on each side of a cute pop-up style ice cream cone! What kitchen/dining ideas would you create?

purpose: this posting focuses on my challenge blog started back in January--FarmQuest HomeStyle Kitchen challenge blog that has a monthly anything food goes theme. That theme extends to anything related to preparing food, serving food, cleaning up, etc. So think kitchen, pantry, and produce market/grocery store.

what: Project #1= Colander on the kitchen table

notes:

A. all the die-cuts are from Simple Stories (2 different card kits)

B. the 2 tones of gray cardstock = Neenah

C. the kraft brown/cardboard look is recycled/upcycled packaging from fun size candy bar insert!!!! It had foldable sides that I removed and then used scissor blades to shave off the cuts to distress the edges

D. the choice of die-cuts was for it to look like a table or countertop and wall background; ----> gather + together = 

E. song inspiration of an old church hymn called "We Gather Together"

F. black ink edging on gray cardstocks = Hero Arts ink pad
