why: The purpose of this post is to highlight my newest owner/design team inspiration projects for HQCOLCB or Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love Challenges Blog #2/Feb 2026. There are 5 main themes that are coded as BEWAS. The B is for Birthdays so project #2 is for this theme. Each month there is an optional event/occasion theme with February's being Valentines. So project #1 is for the February option.

1. Aqua Plaid patterned paper for a different base = Recollections

2. red and white chevron print paper = old paper pad design from Mint Berry by The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby

3. aqua paper for background to the heart print = from multicolor paper pad from Hello Hobby/Walmart

4. the white with red hearts print paper = came in an old scrap pack = Crafter's Square

5. black fine tip marker = Sharpie

7. aqua enamel dots in 2 sizes = Freckled Fawn (pack was a mixed set of colors and shapes)

8. two stamps = came from an unmarked plastic bag of mixed expressions received in a kindness box

21. white CS cut into 2 panels: smaller 3.5" x 5" and larger = 4.5" x 6.25" = Georgia Pacific; foam adhesive squares are lifting up the focal panel

22. teal tone print paper scrap = SU

23. pink CS scrap = Astrobrights/Neenah

24. two mini stamp pads (Guava/coral and Fish Tank/blue) for the focal panel  = Lawn Fawn

25. orange with flowers decorative tape = Farmstead Harvest washi tape set from American Crafts

My FarmQuest Home #6 during Feb 2026 Anything Home Goes theme projects

why: The purpose of this posting is to showcase new owner/design team projects for FarmQuest Home Challenges Blog or FQHCB. This challenge blog started in Fall 2025 after discontinuing one about kitchen and dining. The idea to broaden for whole house, inside or out, seemed like a better way to go. For interior housing topics, I'm featuring a row of books on a masculine birthday card and another showing 'saved' peacock feathers, old typewriter and old telephone. I decided not to do an exterior housing project this month.

what: Project #1: interior housing = displayed peacock feathers, old typewriter and old telephone

4. dark purple marker = stash box for faux stitching borders and outlining

7. ephemera: peacock feathers, typewrite and telephone = Unique by Fancy Pants Designs; I penciled 'you're just my type' onto the typewriter's paper!!! I love puns and thought this would be really cute

My Heart's Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags #2 in 2026 DT project

why: this posting showcases a new owner/design team inspiration project for HQFSCAT or Heart's Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags. I decided to just do 1 project this month. We've got four DT members besides me plus 2 Guest DTs that responded for this month so we've got lots of interesting shaped cards and shaped tags to enjoy! 

when: #2 in 2026 (or #14) runs from Feb 2-28 with the theme of anything goes on a shaped card or a shaped tag. The only shape exception for both cards and tags is a regular rectangle/4 straight corners. Variations are allowed like rounded corners, punched corners, odd angles like a Z-fold, etc. 

what: Project #1: different scalloped ends tag

1. kraft brown scallop-topped tag = from pack by Crafter's Square; the end/bottom edge shown on the right side was fussy cut to mimic the edge of the emboss cut-out image to create a unique SHAPED TAG; also lightly inked in Guava/Lawn Fawn

2. embossed 'just because' tag/image was just black on white = Hot Off The Press (part of a set)

3. Guava mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn

4. butterfly and flower stickers = Antique Gardens sticker book by Maggie Holmes

5. wood butterfly (inked with pink marker from my stash box); wanted it to contrast to the Guava that is a mix of pink and orange/coral tones = sold in pack = Crafter's Square

6. orange and white + pink and white gingham ribbons = Crafter's Square

My Critter Crazy Challenges #107 DT project on 1 February 2026

why: This posting showcases my latest design team/owner inspiration 'critters' card for Critter Crazy Challenges (CCC). In the year since I've become owner, I've featured butterflies or moths several times. They are my favorite insect!! When I was a young girl, maybe about 8 years old, when a teacher of another class/age level, told me that butterflies were like fluttering flowers. That phrasing has always stuck in my thoughts. And since I also love flowers (check my wardrobe, scarves, jewelry), the analogy got hard-wired! The theme is anything goes with featured critter (AGFC= code).
