why: this is a personal blog posting for 2 new design team projects for FarmQuest Country Christmas Challenge blog that emphasizes outdoors wintry landscapes, winter weather and sport activities plus exterior holiday decorations. Project #1 has a fun and festive holiday decorated deer head with holly. Project #2 has a watercolor washed Northern Lights and pine trees setting. The theme is coded as AGCC or anything goes country Christmas.

how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. pink neon (scanner light faded to bubblegum pink) cardstock cut to 4" x 6" panel = Art Skills

2. pink paper cut to 3.5" x 5" = multicolor paper pad by Hello Hobby/Walmart

3. green glitter paper (punched) = Art Skills

4. ticket shape punch tool = EK Success

5. black fine tip marker for outlining pink focal paper  & extra fine tip marker for outlining the stickers= Sharpie

21. green neon cardstock cut to almost a 6" square panel = Art Skills

22. handmade specialty paper = from a scrap pack = Crafter's Square (gray/taupe color with flecks)

23. two purple markers + 3 blue tones markers (watercolor type) = stash box

24. paint brush set = Crayola

25. white glitter cardstock = from a multipack glitter CS = Crafter's Square

26. lodge truck with trees chipboard sticker + 'holly jolly' chipboard sticker = Snow Pine Lodge collection = Simple Stories 

27. black extra fine tip marker pen = Sharpie (added the thin black lettering on the 'holly jolly' so it would have more impact)

28. Northern Lights, pine trees (evergreens) and grass = watercolor markers were added in the order given; painted with water for ink dyes of markers to 'wash out'; dabbed with paper towels to remove excess water (chromatography)

why: This posting showcases my newest design team inspiration projects for FarmQuest General Store challenge blog. The challenge theme is always 'anything farm and/or country goes' with country referring to rural or remote outdoors settings and related activities. 

For March, I decided to do a farmhouse garden or meadow vibe for project #2 with barnwood, plaid, bee, ladybugs and wildflowers. For project #1, I also kept to a garden setting with flowering trees, birds, flowers, bees, butterfly and dragonfly!

My Heart's Quest Lovable Quotables #2 anything goes quotes DT projects on 5 March 2026

why: This posting showcases my referenced quote bookmark and the Bible's Matthew 5:8 encouragement card design team projects for Heart's Quest Lovable Quotables Challenges Blog! The theme is easy = anything goes quotes. Both of my images/designs were credited within their designs but I'm also giving proper credits in this post. Bookmark's quote is from Mother Teresa and the floral card's verse sticker quotes the Bible's New Testament book of Matthew chapter 5 verse 8.

My Critter Crazy Challenges #108 design team LION card on 1 March 2026

why: This posting showcases my newest design team/owner inspiration project for Critter Crazy Challenges, a crafting blog, that I assumed owner and administrator status about 13-14 months ago. This January completed my first year and we're just roaring along into my second! 

One just never knows how and where and what I see sparks my creative muse! For about a year I've not touched a set of children's animal masks except to give a tiger one to the little girl we were babysitting on weekday afternoons. I thought I would the use the masks for Critter Crazy before this, but apparently other animal images/products have also sparked my imagination. My March critter is a lion. 

The theme is always 'anything goes with a featured critter' or AGFC. 

when: Critter Crazy #108 starts March 1 and runs through until March 25, 2026. 

what: Project #1:

how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. yellow cardstock (CS) is not quite a full sheet; about 6.5" deep x 8" wide = Astrobrights/Neenah

2. lion mask = from a mixed animal children's mask set = sold by Dollar General Stores (I added the black marker accents on the ears plus the paper and ink triangles for eyes + whisker ink lines + stars.)

3. brown scrap CS = tucked into the eye openings = Colorbok

4. gold glitter stars = part of a mixed gold star design set of stickers = Recollections/Michaels Arts and Crafts

5. tall gold metallic 'HI' puffy lettering stickers = Thickers by American Crafts

6. tiny gold puffy lettering stickers from Flags and Frills package = American Crafts

7. black fine tip marker pen = Sharpie (outlined the mask perimeter and the eyes; used to stencil the triangles; also draw the black lines on the ears)

8. black extra fine tip marker pen = Sharpie (for the whiskers)

9. black stamp pad = Hero Arts (to ink the yellow CS perimeter)
