HQCB Bonus Version #2 for Color Heart Theme #5 expiring 13 July 2022

On this blog I showcase my design inspiration projects for Heart's Quest and FarmQuest challenge blogs that I started earlier this year. This particular card is a bonus project made with only about 10 hours left in the current HQCB competition. Getting the word out about HQCB and FQCB as many ways that I can is my reason for making this CAS style through linking to 4 other current challenges!

Combining HQCB's red heart image and mostly red usage requirements with CAS kids, splatters (ink blots), summer mood board, and anything goes was accomplished within this card:

Details:

1. white textured specialty paper scrap for the background and white cardstock with a torn/cut uneven bottom edge base

2. 2 layers of white sketch paper were layered for the hearts; this version has 4 hearts using 3 different sizes

3. pink, red, yellow, and orange markers were dotted in 2 heart cut-outs and in 2 stamped hearts in the left heart and in the right heart/envelope

4. 2 stamps were applied; tiny dots added to 2 mailbox hearts and 1 filled with red, and the inside stripes were filled with the summery colors; the mailbox flag was filled in; the envelope flap was filled in

5. a red glitter specialty paper scrap was used as a backdrop

6. an attempt at childish printed sentiment was broken into 2 locations to draw your eye across and then down

For the challenges:

a. Heart's Quest needs at least 1 red heart and lots of red--check. check.

b. Addicted to CAS needs CAS and kids--check. check. (lots of white and empty spaces; happy mail)

c. Make My Monday needs splatters--check. (ink dots)

d. Use Your Stuff needs summery items inspired by their photo--check. (summery colored ink dots and stripes)

e. Ally's Angels is anything goes so--check.
