Loving HQCB's Color Heart #10 Reminder Inspiration Encouragement Card

 Heart's Quest Challenge Blog is at it's midway point for Color Heart #10 about green and white heart(s). 

This personal blog post will showcase the encouragement card made for a distant cousin just recently diagnosed with colon cancer. She's four years younger than me and lives only 4 blocks away. 

This was created for her=

My creative spirit has done several green, white, and pink projects that was inspired by another challenge blog that had green and pink for its November Christmas challenge. This isn't Christmas occasion but it was made between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's also meant to cheer up my cousin. Green acrylic paint was applied first to a ivory/white satin sheen specialty paper with some swirling motions and then was dragging with a dental floss pick! yes, a two-strands. Dots of bright pink acrylic paint were dropped around the perimeter and were dragged with the floss. The original paper was larger, cut to just under 3" x 5" and the white-ish hearts or half-hearts were cut from the scrapped portions. Black ink edging and outlining was done for definition and also to help the card not be too 'sweet'. 

The foliage stickers were applied to give a wreath look and helped to place the 2 small sentiment stamps and all the hearts. ( Creative Devotion for the foliage and Hampton Arts for the stamps.) 

The green glitter heart shape actually started as an ornament shape!!! YES! (The Paper Studio) 

Scrap cardstock for the pink and green layers, most of the dotted patterned paper sheet provided the base layer, however there is white cardstock that matches the size for support.
