Loving HQCB Theme #22 heart/love PLUS Valentine's for Parent or Child starts 14 January 2023

This is 1 of 2 personal paper-crafting focused blogs that I have in blogland. 

Today's post is highlighting 2 cards made for Heart's Quest challenge blog!

Theme #22 requires:

*use of heart/love

AND

*use/occasion of Valentine's for parent or child

(hint: next challenge requires romantic Valentine's for a special someone)

Competition runs January 14-27, 2023.

Card #1 for parent (I already made a card for my mom for another DT commitment. Since I no longer have living grandparents, I've made one for my 91+year old great aunt.)

[Meets Theme #22 requirements with using sticker phrase 'true love'; 3 heart shapes; and the colors, flowers, and love/hearts are for Valentine's Day.]


lavender/mauve card base is from Studio G; 2013!!

and the other items are old stash items from 1-12 years old!! The floral print paper is older than the card base!

AND

Card #2 for child (we don't have any children however a young couple in our town have declared us as honorary grandparents so this card is for their little girl who is 9 1/2 months old. This is her 1st Valentine's Day!)

[Meets Theme #22 requirements with 'love' spelled out in the beads, has a pink heart shape, and indicates this is a 1st Heart Day/Valentines.]

gold and white alpha tile stickers are from Freckled Fawn

gold 'diaper pin' with beads and letter charms/beads is Jen Hadfield; there are several more yet to be used in the package with different words; this is my 1st items to use in that package (NBUS; first use/item of old embellishment)

flower print paper, pink glitter foam heart sticker are old stash items

      AH! Thanks, Miri!!! She's a sweetheart! This afternoon she was 'my' girl. Kept wanting me to hold her...kept crawling to me...cried when I went to the bathroom...started grinning ear to ear when she spotted me coming out of the bathroom!!!!!

Loving this HQCB #44 Poinsettia Day theme option DT owner card for 14 Dec 2023

  Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!   Purpose: this posting showcases Heart's Quest Challenge Blog which during 2023 pairs a special day/season/or holiday occasion with heart and/or love for themes When: #44 starts on December 14 and ends on December 27, 2023l #44 themes can be Poinsettia Day  plus  need to include some kind of heart or love What: Jolly Poinsettia Christmas card above: front panel; poinsettia die-cut and a red glitter foam heart sticker; die-cuts had a "Goldfish Orange" marker applied over them to reduce the amount of white; center panel was only gray with little white flowers with me very carefully coloring about 60% of theme; left and right panels are the same cardstock however only the skinny left strip's dots were colored with 3 basic colors below: inside panel Notes: 1. jolly tag, poinsettia, holly leaves die-cuts = Make It Merry ephemera from Simple Stories (also the inside panel label die-cut) 2. itsy bitsy be
