Featuring FQCB #39 Corn Theme DT card for 28 October 2023

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity! This particular blog posting features my owner/DT contribution to FarmQuest Challenge Blog's newest topic of 'corn'. I've got two vintage images of ears of corn, the word 'corn', and one image of a corn taco shell! The dark moodiness and key color palette are inspired from The Card Concept.

WHAT: FQCB #39 theme is corn

SHOW and TELL:

1. avocado and taco cut-apart card trimmed down and lime green checked cardstock; from Lake Life paper pad - Fancy Pants Designs

2. cork lettering stickers = Freckled Fawn

3. stars, twine = stash

4. yellow and white checked paper = Hot Off The Press

5. border sticker is an oldie = Current Card Catalog

6. vintage corn images = given in a RAK box received about 5-6 years ago from a junk journaling artisan that I had previously swapped with at the time

7. card base orange cardstock = Art Skills' Crafter's Closet

*TCC's dark tones and color palette were my main inspirations as I searched my stash for corn related items= 

E. The Card Concept; almost over; week 2 of 2; Autumn Chill/see the badge for the colors with each one used in my card; On my card the barn siding in the photo is a close color match to the gray border strip sticker; (2) the dry leaf reminds me of the dry corn husks attached to each dark ear of corn mini cards; (3) the very dark tones of the book and sweater/throw under the book are reflected in the dark tones of the mini cards and the center of the avocado; and I always love to have several layers on my cards
