Loving this HQCB #42 World Freedom Day Occasion plus hearts for 14 Nov 2023
Loving this!
Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! This blog is 1 of 2 for my personal paper-crafting/hybrid projects.
Purpose: this posting showcases my owner/DT commitment to Heart's Quest Challenge Blog
When: Theme #42 runs November 14-27, 2023
What: World Freedom Day is November 9 so honor a military or veteran with appreciation; USA has November 11 as Veterans Day, too
**this card and its twin were made to send to 2 classmates from high school who went from being Shiloh Raiders to being U.S. Army veterans; in fact there were 4 more guys I need to craft appreciation cards for who also served in the Army. We only graduated with 35!!! 6 of 35 serving our country is a very good percentage. Thanks guys!
School district name is Shiloh and a Civil War raider is what our mascot is/has been based on. I came across this clipart image during the past 5 years which has been the closest match I've been able to find compared to when our district was formed back in 1967-1968 with doors opening in August 1968. Our class was the first group to complete First grade to Twelfth grade! My sister was 1 year behind me and she got to be part of the group to do Kindergarten through Twelfth!
School colors are yellow/gold with royal blue.
Notes:
1. Clipart image= The ClipArt Library website
2. royal blue and yellow cardstock = Art Skills
3. kraft paper = ?
4. blue barn siding paper= Hot Off The Press
5. tiny text box created with Google Docs

7. wood stars in 3 sizes=
8. blue marker =
9. two different foam heart-shaped stickers and an amber heart gem = stash; also colored pencils for shading the text box and the 'raider'
10. Dapper Denim ink pad= Stampin' Up
CARD #2: Red and White and Blue Grateful card
Notes:
I. blue cardstock base is 6" square; Crafter's Closet
II. 'be happy' stamp --I think is either Studio G or Hampton Arts
III. duct tape in red, white, and blue = ? maybe Scotch Tape
IV. red ink for 'grateful' = Crafter's Closet
V. black marker for outlining = Sharpie
