Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!!!
purpose: this posting features my DT/owner commitment to FarmQuest General Store challenge blog that is now 2 challenges in to its 2nd year!!! Woo-hoo!
when: #14 starts March 7 and ends on April 5, 2024
what: FQGS is an anything farm and/or country goes (think rural outdoor environments and activities) theme competition; I'm using 2024 sponsor QKR Stampede's "Baby Donkey" digital image for an Easter card
notes:
1. pink base cardstock = Neenah
2. peeling painted barn wood paper = Hot Off The Press
3. 'blessed' sticker and the 'forever' tile thick stickers = The Simple Life collection by Simple Stories
4. "Baby Donkey" digital image = QKR Stampede
5. image colored with a combination of 2 gray markers and a top coat of dark gray colored pencil;
6. image was printed on white cardstock and then fussy cut
7. 'Easter is' was handwritten with a very fine tip black pen above 'forever'; donkey is symbolizing Jesus from his Palm Sunday ride before His crucifixion; most Christians also consider that maybe a donkey was part of the stable animals when Jesus was born...just a thought to ponder
and
PROJECT #2: baby paint pony digital image from QKR Stampede with a western frontier rainbow sunset masculine birthday card=
notes:
8. mini slimline card size; 6.25" wide and just under 3.5" high
9. 'happy' stencil; American Crafts
10. 'day' stencil; a very old Tupperware item
11. barbed wire fence clipart image = free for personal use; The Clipart Library website
12. "Baby Paint Pony" digital image = QKR Stampede; 1 of 3 digital images being featured for FQGS #14
13. "Condensed Milk" alcohol marker used on the pony's hide and "Pea Green" used for the grassy patches near each hoof = Arteza
14. "Cappuccino" colored pencil used for the pony's mane
15. diagonal striped multi-color paper = D.T.
16. purple (is cut about 1/4" less than the yellow) and neon yellow cardstocks = Neenah

F. Cards 4 Guyz; new; theme is namesake day; use a letter in your design; I used 'happy day' for the birthday card mostly due to both words having 'a'; "Becca or Rebecca" ends in 'a' and my married last name "Sadler" also has an 'a'

Thanks for playing along with our "Namesake Day" challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz. This challenge was really a bit more challenge but you nailed it with your "a" from your first and last name.

Thanks, DJ. My parents wanted Bible names for their children's first names so we have Rebecca (me), Martha, and John. I've got my mom's first name for my middle and my sister has our mom's middle for her middle. And then our brother's middle is for our uncle, grandpa, great-grandpa, and a 2x great-grandpa! Our dad's middle name is the same as his grandfather's middle. So it's Bible and family legacy for my namesakes.
DeleteSo cute! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our STENCIL FUN challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
