Featuring my FQGS #19 AFCG theme using QKRS image for 7 August 2024

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

purpose: this posting is another contribution to FQGS or FarmQuest General Store #19 with its anything farm and/or country goes

when: #19 competition starts August 7 and ends on September 5, 2024

what: "Heron" on Lake Huron? Lake Michigan? Illinois River? Mississippi River? elsewhere? ...I'm only 14-15 miles from the IL River to our W or 30 miles to our N and if we drive NW of here, we can be at the Mississippi River in about 2 hours. Then if we drive NE of here, we can be at the southern end of Lake Michigan in less than 2 hours!!! Lots of herons and other water birds....

  3. I love the Heron. I don't live near enough to any large enough stretches of water so see anything as dramatic as a Heron but many many years ago I do remember seeing one standing in the middle of our very small garden fishpond. Not many fish left after his visit. Thanks for sharing with us.

    1. Thanks for the complements, Melanie!!! I thought the dots would add some interest to portray movement around the heron whether they could be flies, dragonflies or mayflies, beetles, moths, etc.
