My featured FQCB #63 Feathers and/or Friends Theme DT projects on 28 October 2024

purpose: This posting features my owner/DT projects for the newest farm/country theme at FQCB. #63 is about feathers and/or friends (turkeys, pheasants, peacocks) for the autumn season. 

when: #63 competition starts October 28 and ends November 13, 2024

what: PROJECT #1=

notes for #1: using loose feathers and the word 'pheasant' for my main #63 theme elements

1. feathers and leaves print cardstock plus brown cardstock for the punched circle = Recollections (approx. 5.5" high x 6" wide)

2. brown dot stickers = bought at Paper Wishes website

3. kraft flat card base 5" x 7" = Recollections

4. text strip = Google Doc and then after printing I applied an orange colored pencil

5. yellow cardstock = Neenah

6. deep orange cardstock scrap = old Pen + Gear

7. hearts print cardstock + floral chipboard sticker = from Faboolous collection by Simple Stories

8. orange glitter 'thanks' sticker = from a sheet of autumn season words and images = at least 2 years in my stash; vendor ?

what: PROJECT #2 = tag using feathers and pheasants from #63; quail, leaves, and flowers are additional country/farm elements

notes for #2:

21. kraft cardstock base is recycled packaging

22. light gray paper = stash

23. feathers cardstock scrap and the pheasants with a quail scrap = Heirloom Harvest by Recollections

24. kraft cardstock = old Pen + Gear

25. 'love' letters traced and cut from old glossy black recycled packaging and then has silver metallic paint pen plus red faux stitch lines and a dark grey alcohol marker

26. the dots were actually brown in the center but applied the silver metallic paint pen on top to add more silver/gray to the tag

27. silver metallic paint pen also added to the kraft heart to add more silver/gray

c. feathers & pheasants tag = The Outlawz Anything Goes In A Card Free Zone; current for about 2-3 more days; option is a name game = last letter of my last name is "R" in Sadler and I have recycled cardstock packaging for my TAG base (it was a fun size candy bar holder; sides trimmed off and then sides distressed with scissor blades)
