Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!
post's purpose...the why: about 2 days ago when I was looking for challenge themes at others'-owned blogs, I saw that Stef and Lauren at Jingle Belles had a new theme to create 1 layer Christmas cards. I've been wanting to work on my stenciling, stamping, inking and/or coloring skills, especially to create scenes and wanted to give this a go.
the when: the card was created on March 29 and blog post was written and shared on March 30, 2025.
the what: May Your Days Be Merry and Bright one-layer Christmas card
notes:
1. white cardstock base; dimension approx. 4" wide x 8" high = Georgia Pacific
2. jumbo size sentiment stamp = Recollections
3. foliage stencil used at top and bottom = Simple Stories
4. stems/leaves in light brown and dark brown marker pen = from a set of 4 colors by Zebra Clickart
5. several colors of colored pencils = Crayola and Crazy Art
6. "Beach Blue" alcohol marker = Arteza (banner + and parts of sentiment)
7. "Classic Red" alcohol marker = Arteza ("Merry" and ribbon swirls)
8. "Goldfish" and "Pea Green" alcohol markers = Arteza ("Bright")
9. "Dusk Blue" alcohol marker = Arteza (dark blue dots; to be snow)
