Loving my HQFSCAT #4 April DT shaped card and shaped tag projects

post purpose/why: This posting showcases 2 new design team/owner inspiration projects for HQFSCAT or Heart's Quest For Shaped Cards and Tags challenges blog. It's anything goes on a shaped card and/or shaped tag. For #4, I have a square card and a scallop-edged tag. 

when: #4 starts April 2 and ends on April 30, 2025

what: Project #1: Love you with rose and doily card

notes for #1:

1. pink cardstock was 6" square; trimmed to 5.5" square = Art Skills

2. "ebony Color Me Doily Card Toppers" package = Hot Off The Press 2013; part of my stash though for maybe 5 or less years

3. doily card topper was trimmed on right side to get a 5" square panel

4. doily topper was colored with olive green, violet, bubblegum pink colored pencils from stash

5. doily topper was also inked with "Wild Thistle" for the slightly softer pink and with "Lilac Grey" = alcohol markers by Nuvo

6. sentiment fish-tail label/tag = Google Doc; printed on white cardstock, cut out from the remaining sheet of mixed sentiments created in early February; colored with the violet colored pencil and then black gel extra fine tip pen for edging doodling

7. wood laser cut rose came painted pink in a mixed set/pack = Crafter's Square (plain wood, red paint or pink paint roses)

21. 'ebony Color Me Doily Card Topper' package also had a sheet of labels/little focal pieces; there are still 5 on the sheet in the pack = Hot Off The Press 2013 (same pack for the #1 project square card)

22. "Wild Thistle" alcohol marker = Nuvo; and the lavender was also by Nuvo

23. gems in pink and purple = the pinks are scanning partially green = Crafter's Square

24. twine and purple hem lace trim = stash

25. bling 'strips' were cut from a wider 'ribbon' size width = Crafter's Square

26. a light gray cardstock scrap was used for base behind the small scallop-edged tag 'color me' focal = either Art Skills or Neenah

Even my current home where we've lived for 8+ years has interior walls painted in different tones of purple!!!

--interesting fact from my March = my childhood BFF and I live about 2.5 hours apart; we were able to meet near her home in early March for lunch and chat time!
