why: This post features my owner/DT commitment to FarmQuest Challenge Blog or FQCB! This was my 2nd owned challenge blog that I started--three years ago!!! Cats and dogs can be found in both city and country homes but at FQCB, we'd love to see how you can show them in outdoor, ranch, farm, garden, etc. settings. 

when:#71 starts April 28 and ends May 27, 2025.

what: Project #1= Gingham Dog and the 'Calico' Cat card

how-to notes for #1:

1. striped print paper partial sheet = Beachside Boardwalk paper pad by Fancy Pants Designs 2023

2. Sandcastle Tan cardstock scrap = CutCardStock (Martha Stewart)

3. floral/calico-like print paper scrap = SU

4. checked gingham print scrap cuts = Hot Off The Press via Paper Wishes website/store

5. wood laser cuts (from mixed designs pack; 3 animals x 2 each) = Crafter's Square

6. enamel dots (from different color palette packs) = Freckled Fawn

7. sentiment stickers are from same sticker book = The Simple Life by Simple Stories (the Happy Together stems had some green and gray colors but many leaves or berries were left open, so I added dots of red, yellow or navy blue)

8. black cardstock started as 6" square and trimmed to 5.5" square = Art Skills

9. black stamp pad for inking perimeter edges of the prints = Hero Arts

21. navy blue cardstock cut to about a 4-4.5" wide x 6" high = Art Skills

22. yellow and white print paper = SU

24. puffy pink hearts and "love you" = Thickers/American Crafts

25. black dual-tip marker; fine tip for outlining = Art Skills

26. black stamp pad to do perimeters of papers = Hero Arts

27. image is an Ai-generated and is 1 of 4 being shared on the #71 blog post. = used Microsoft's Designer/digital download and printed
