why: After a vacation trip to Niagara Falls, some forts, the Finger Lakes and Chautauqua areas of New York State plus a weekend trip to southern IL and parts of St. Genevieve, Jefferson, St. Louis and St. Charles counties of MO, I'm able to take some time today to come up with a new design in My Mondrian Mondays Journal notebook. Not much of Mondrian's influence or even Frank Lloyd Wright's in this one. I started with the top left and top right unusual shapes and then proceeded from there.
when: MMMJP or My Mondrian Mondays Journal Page #13 will be published on July 7, 2025 evening.
what: Citrus Colors with a dash of cappuccino!
how-to & vendor notes:
1. journaling notebook with elastic band closure; 80 peach grid/graph sheets; distributed by Dollar General Stores
2. variety of colored pencils = Marvy Uchida, Crazy Art, Crayola; shades or tones are Cappuccino, Red Umber, Deep Raspberry, Orange, Yellow, etc.
3. ruler, black ink pen = stash

The more I look at today's design, I'm thinking this aligns more with Matisse or maybe even Picasso!!!!
