why: About 18-19 weeks ago, I started a personal series using a graph paper 80 sheets journaling notebook for a Monday series of geometric designs springboarding from the famous artist Piet Mondrian. And don't forget to scroll all the way down to see 2 of his famous paintings. The credit for those is also listed there.

what: Project: #16 in My Mondrian Mondays Journal Page

how-to & vendor notes = colored vs blank/white spaces were filled in without use of a ruler; sometimes with a steady hand and sometimes not; I started with gray ==> dark brown ===> black ===> light brown ===> white spaces and magenta pink divided up what was remaining

1. journal notebook with elastic band closure; 80 graph/grid sheets; sold by Dollar General stores

2. set of four neutral colors retractable marker pens = Zebra Clickart; magenta marker from stash

3. pencil to outline the perimeter = stash

4. brown colored pencil to go over the penciling = stash

5. index card 4" x 6" to serve as the shape template = stash

1D. Just Add Ink; new on Fri Aug 1st; image prompt for inspiration...I focused on the neutrals for my journal page and then added the magenta pink for a bolder pop of accent color (compared to the orange tones in the image)
