HQCOLCB #2 EWA Themes plus option theme Valentines DT work starts 2 Feb 2024

Purpose: this posting is for the newest of my challenge blogs, Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love Challenges

When: #2 starts February 2, 2024 and will end on February 29, the last day of the month

What: HQCOLCB always has 3 monthly theme choices: Engagements, Weddings, and Anniversaries; the optional celebration theme this month is Valentine's Day

#1= this DT project is a wedding card=

Notes:

1. purple cardstock base is 4" x 6" = Art Skills

2. burgundy/red-purple patterned paper= Stampin' Up

3. iridescent gems, silver star embossed decorative tape = stash 

4. wedding cake stencil along with the 'happy day' and star were part of the same stencil sheet = Crafter's Square

5. frame stamp = ? either Hampton Arts or Studio G

6. 3 colors of alcohol based ink for the cake and sentiment = Nuvo Alcohol Markers

and #2 tag/gift tag for Valentine's Day=

Notes:

1. both tags are from ???; honestly these got put into a plastic zip bag with some cut-apart cards several years ago and just rediscovered these stash items!!!

2. coffee filter watercolored with additional alcohol markings folded accent

3. butterfly print shaped sticky note was cut in half and then overlapped for an opposite accent to the coffee filter

4. light blue scalloped border sticker and the stars border sticker = Frosted Forest collection from FPD

5. threads, butterfly, star stickers, rose sticker = stash items

A. (card) Birthstone Challenge; current until Feb 15; Jan & Feb garnet and amethyst; my wedding card has dark reddish tones and different lavender and deeper purple tones; also there is an option of new beginnings and a wedding is a great new occasion for a couple's beginning!

E. (tag) Incy Wincy Designs; started Feb 1; themes of Love/Valentine and/or No Pictures (such as clipart, stamping,); MY tag is all about love in a mixed media style and it is 2 tags combined with a lot of embellishments/accents

(tag) Mix It Up; started Jan 1 and is current to Feb 15; anything goes with option mixed media; MY tag is a tag on top of a jumbo tag, posty note butterfly, part of scrunched inked coffee filter; multiple colors of thread used in 2 locations; scalloped border (partial piece) sticker, a star strip border sticker, star stickers, blue butterfly and enameled rose stick-ons
