purpose: this blog post features 2 reminder design team inspiration creations for FarmQuest General Store challenge blog that I own. FQGS' monthly theme is anything farm and/or country goes. Think rural and outdoor setting anywhere in the world--swamp, pond, bayou, creek, campsite in the backyard or a forest park, farms or ranches, mountains, deserts, etc. 

when: #16.5 is the reminder post on May 21, 2024 with #16 competition period of May 7-June 5, 2024

what: PROJECT #1= second variation using Gathering Hearts digi by QKR Stampede; my first time using the image is shown on the main May 7 post



notes:

1. Gathering Hearts digital image = QKR Stampede

2. image colored with a combination of colored pencil, alcohol markers (Arteza and Nuvo), watercolor markers, and an aqua blue glitter paint pen for the top layer surrounding the Dutch girl

3. floral print cardstock panel = Simple Stories' Summer Lovin' paper pad

4. glitter pink heart decorative tape = ? unsure; stash item for several years

5. pink cardstock scrap and the purple cardstock panel = Art Skills

6. black edging and outlining with a dual-tip black permanent marker = Art Skills

notes: Went for a neutral palette of white, gray, and black for a dramatically different variation for the image
