purpose: this posting showcases my owner/DT commitment to the competition blog Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love. It's now starting #5 for its main themes of engagements, weddings, and/or anniversaries and the May 2024 optional theme of graduation/school-grade promotion

when: #5 starts on May 2, 2024 and will end on May 31, 2024 (May 2-31)

what: Project #1: wedding card

A Jar Full of Love 

notes:

1. mason jar image with the pinkish-red and white checked gingham was fussy cut from an old saved gift bag

2. heart-shaped gems = stash

3. white thin cardstock panel is recycled packaging insert

4. teal tonal geometric print paper is 6" square = Stampin' Up

Project #2: college graduation card (coming; it's started)

*hubby had surgery last week; I had computer problems for about 24 hours on the day after his surgery; and caregiving has taken a lot more of time with less crafting and computer time...my apologies...

notes: masculine recipient 

A. base is recycled white cardstock packaging insert from a sticker set; cut to 4" wide and 9" high/long

B. gold star patterned lightweight cardstock = Fancy Pants Designs' Lake Life paper pad; panel is 8" high and 3.75" wide

C. outlining with black dual-tip marker = Art Skills

D. black ink edging of paper/cardstock = Hero Arts

E. thick kraft cardstock for cover and inside cut 8" wide and 9" high/long then folded in half; scoring helped get money/gift card slot cut = Colorbok

F. wood stars in 3 sizes were covered first using markers (yellow, light blue, and brown) then all 3 had gold glitter acrylic paint applied to top

G. banner part of sentiment was traced = stencil sheet = Crafter's Square

H. 'congrats' stamp is unknown vendor; received in a clear zip-seal bag of mixed occasion stamps that had no labeling or identification of manufacturer

W. graduation card = Mix It Up; new May 1 and open until June 15; anything goes/mixed media (not the option of inlaid die); my card has painted wood stars, stamping, tracing/stencil template usage

U. graduation card = Word Art Wednesday; week 2 of 2; anything goes that is uplifting/kind; my college graduation/masculine slimline gift card-money holder is for my 19 year old nephew

***HVAC certification/2 year community college degree!!! He's also part of his hometown volunteer fire department!!! Also has his CDL!!--has to stay in-state for awhile but it's very impressive how his skill set is growing and gives him lots of employment options as well as saving himself lots of money in the future to be able to do so much on his own!!!! Love him! I'm a proud aunt!
