My featured FQGS #24 DT projects anything farm and or country goes for 7 January 2024

why: This is the #24 monthly challenge for FarmQuest General Store! That means 2 full years have come and gone for this spin-off from FarmQuest that does themed farm, outdoors/rural topics. FQGS' design team will be doing AFCG projects this year and will sit out from using sponsored digital images. So make sure to check out the DT projects for more country charmers!

when: #24 starts January 7, 2025 and ends February 5, 2025. We do an offset month in order to be open during the middle of the month and end/start of a month because lots of challenges start on the 1st and 15th. 

what: PROJECT #1 = wood-themed Valentine; "I wood be stumped without you!"

notes on #1: (wood hearts; wood slice/rings & sentiment layered accent; varnished wood flooring print glossy cardstock)

1.  white A2 size card base (matching envelope not shown); cut in half with one section trimmed 1/8th thinner on each side; inked in black; and the wider base had orange colored pencil applied for a border= Crafter's Square for a pack

2. kraft cardstock panel and the deep orange = old Pen + Gear

3. varnished wood flooring print glossy cardstock = Maker's Forte

4. the floral layered with wood slice/rings layer stick-on = K and Company

5. three wood hearts with different orange, pink and/or red tones of colored pencils = either Crafter's Square or Art Skills for a pack

21. ivory linen cardstock base and the brick red linen cardstock background = Crafter's Square (3 pack card set with envelopes)

22. three print papers and the 'bubbles' cut-apart = Riley & Co. 

23. the 'bucket list' text print paper was altered by using a red dual-tip marker to add red for the checkmark = Art Skills marker

24. pink colored pencil used to borer the base then I added a top layer of red glitter paint pen = both = stash items

25. foam dimensional tape under the brick red cardstock layer and then also under the bubbles piece = stash

On December 29, 2024 I took a couple of hours to make up card kits. Using sandwich size plastic bags, ivory or white or kraft A2 size card bases and envelopes, then scraps of various sizes in solid colors and prints. I got 16 zipped into bags and 2 not in bags. Then I can concentrate on the focal, sentiment and accents to top off the cards. 

I've already used 4 kits on December 30-31!!!

However, I'm already finding that some have too many small scrap pieces that are getting taken out and set aside to place in other kits. I've got enough scrap cuts that I could make 200 kits probably! :)

I do have some photos but they're still on my cell phone! I'll try to edit them in before the month is over.
