My Mondrian Monday Journal Page #3 on 31 March 2025

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

post's purpose...the why: Almost a month ago I had this idea to start a personal series that was non-DT commitment related. An online crafting friend, Lauren B, has done Mandala Mondays for quite awhile. Instead of mandalas, I thought doing some Piet Mondrian- inspired journal pages could be doable for me to achieve even when weekends are busy. So the first two used yellow and green tones/shades and this one is with blues and red tones that range from pink to a mid-teal. And you can see #1 and #2 at the end of this posting.

the when: Monday, March 31, 2025

the what: Mondrian-inspired journal notebook entry #3 = MMMJP3

notes: I decided to save the cropped/scanned photo on a horizontal placement like #2. Maybe next time's will be switched to vertical???

1. notched, elastic band closure graph paper journal notebook; made in Indonesia and distributed through Dollar General stores. 80 sheets. 6" x 8".

2. palette of colored pencils kept to 5 = Crayola and Crazy Art brands/stash

3. labeling in 'gray' and grid/block line outlining in 'black' = Zebra Clickart retractable marker pens (4 different colors in the set)

4. pencil, ruler, eraser = stash items

    1. Thanks for the feedback, Sarah!!! I'm trying to be inspired by the arrangement and size of boxes that artist Piet Mondrian did. I think I'll be able to do lots of variations. I'm glad you stopped by!
