MMMJP #15 on Monday 28 July 2025

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: About 18 weeks ago I started this journaling notebook with a focus on geometric inspirations from famous painter Piet Mondrian!! Green and white is not what I remember him for (using the primary colors of blue, red and yellow vs black and white spaces). MMMJP is code for My Mondrian Mondays Journal Page.

when: #15 in my journaling notebook is being published on Monday night July 28, 2025; skipped last Monday because I had travelled over the weekend to spend time at my #45 high school graduating class reunion get-togethers

what: MMMJP #15

reversed:

side view; rotated 90 degrees =

practice scribbles for colored pencil tones and also the set of 4 marker pens used =

how-to & vendor notes for project #1:

1. various greens and 1 black colored pencils = stash (different companies: Crazy Art, Crayola, Liqui-Mark)

2. journaling notebook with 80 graph/grid sheets = sold by Dollar General Stores

3. black dual-tip marker - Art Skills (used only for perimeter and a few lines; ran out of ink)

4. set of 4 retractable marker pens (gray, black, dark brown and mid-brown) = Zebra Clickart

5. this time for #15, I've decided to do a horizontal layout of different sizes of blocks to be either colored green or left white/blank, black, gray, mid-brown or dark brown; the outlines/grid lines will be in black marker for stark contrast

6. and I forgot to label the bottom of the page; I'll do that after publishing and linking/sharing this posting...

where MMMJP #15 will be linked:

1. KMP or Kleuren met Potloden; Coloring with Pencils; still open; theme is the title; this time I'm using various green tones plus neutrals in a horizontal varying blocks design

2. Cupcake Inspirations; new; theme of color challenge is green and white; my journal entry has varying tones of green plus white, gray, browns and black as neutrals for dividing lines

3. Make My Monday; new on July 28; theme is masculine; this is my 2nd entry today; this design lends to masculine or neutral because it is clean lines and minimal colors

4. The Outlawz = Anything Goes In A Card Free Zone = still open for a few days; theme is the title; MY post has a journaling notebook entry with a geometric design

  5. This colourwork do surely think of Mondriaan, although he worked most of the time with primary colours. But the form and the nlack lines are like his style.
Thank you for participating our challenge at Kleuren met Potloden.
