My featured FQCB #74 cowboy gear or ranch theme DT projects on 28 July 2025

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: this posting features my latest rural creative spin for FQCB or FarmQuest Challenge Blog #74. The theme this time is "cowboy gear or ranch". You could have a ranch bunkhouse, corrals, cowboys, etc. I decided to do an old barn and silo. For the other project, 

when: FQCB #74 starts July 28, 2025 and ends on August 27, 2025

what: Project #1 = Old Windmill and cacti Birthday card


how-to notes for #1 = desert Southwest or Western USA vibe

1.  ivory A2 card cut apart into 2 panels; trimmed top layer 1/4" around and lifted on foam tape = Crafter's Square pack

2. yellow cardstock panel cut to 3.5" x 5" = Neenah

3. Sandcastle Tan cardstock punched circle = Martha Stewart distributed by CutCardStock

4. old "HB" wood stamp = SU

5. Walnut/brown mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn

6. "You inspire me" clear stamp = from a mixed expressions package by The Hedgehog Hollow [NBUS; new to me; was given the large stamp set in a friendship donation box!!]

7. white cardstock semi-circle scraps = Georgia Pacific

8. Narwhal/gray for the rock/dirt pile + Pumpkin Spice/orange + Guava/pink = mini stamp pads; 3 of the 4 colors in their 'Front Porch' pack by Lawn Fawn [NBUS; new to me stamp pad set]

9. enamel dots in various colors from different sets = Freckled Fawn

10. windmill die-cut = old Simple Stories

11. two cacti stickers = "Just Chill" sticker book by My Mind's Eye 2020

12. blue and white cording = scrap/stash

13. Beach Blue alcohol marker = Arteza (to give a sky appearance around the windmill and also the cacti)

1C. I Love Promarkers; open; theme is anything goes using markers; on PROJECT #1 I've used a blue alcohol marker to color the windmill and outline the cacti (2) for it to look like there is sky surrounding...behind them

21.Sandcastle Tan cardstock cut to 5" w x 7" h = Martha Stewart distributed by CutCardStock

22. deep orange paper (from a memo pad at my parents' home that I claimed for my stash!)

23. the desert scene digital paper printed to 4" x 6" on white paper = "Lil Cowboy" paper by The Paper Shelter {been in my digital files for at least 2 years or more}

24. the cowboy focal image printed to 4" x 6" on thin kraft paper = "Lil Cowboy" by The Paper Shelter {been in my digital files for at least 2 years or more}

25. dark brown retractable marker pen = Zebra Clickart (outlined perimeter of the desert scene and then outlined perimeter of the cowboy before cutting out)

26. "Narwhal" mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn {also NBUS; used on same day when project #1 was made}

27. puffy/embossed wheel and screws stickers = from same multi-design package = Crafter's Square

28. "Inspire" and "You're the best" clear stamps = from a mixed expressions stamp set package = The Hedgehog Hollow {also NBUS; used on same day when project #1 was made}

2A. Make My Monday; new on Mon July 28 and open for 2 weeks; theme is masculine; both projects are masculine however PROJECT #2 with the little cowpoke and his horse will be linked/shared

The Neglected Stuff Challenge; still open; theme is the title-- use stuff at least 1 year older; the Paper Shelter "Lil Cowboy" and its companion digital paper have been in my computer files for several years; I didn't go back and look at my FQCB or FQGS projects but probably 2 years since I've used this cutie cowpoke!! [2nd entry]

2C. Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers; new; theme is HOT, HOT, HOT; both projects on this posts have cacti and lend to dry desert conditions; I'm sharing PROJECT #2 for the bright orange paper and the digital print paper showing the tall cactus
