Loving my HQCOLCB #10.5 Midway Extra Inspirations on 15 October 2024

purpose: this post showcases my extra inspiration owner/DT projects for Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love Challenges blog! BEWAS are my coding of the main themes open each month which are: birthdays, engagements, weddings, anniversaries, and sympathies/condolences. The October optional event theme is Thanksgiving (or thank you). 

when: #10.5 is the midway posting on October 15; #10 started October 2nd and will end on October 31st

what: PROJECT #1 = Country Charmer Wedding card

notes for #1 = In the midst of lots of autumn tone colors, I'm finding this country charm wedding card to be very pretty! :)

1. blue cardstock base = Neenah

2. red floral, light blue with tiny red flowers, and woodgrain papers = 2019 Fancy Pants Designs (new purchase and usage; clearance)

3. blue and white checked paper = Simple Stories (2019, also)

4. two cut-a-part mini cards = old; either Webster Pages or My Mind's Eye

5. layered flower stick-on = K and Company (new purchase and usage)

6. the tiny navy blue heart sticker and 'our story' strip = Brighton Beach? Bo Bunny?

7. tiny gold puffy dots = Recollections (new purchase)

what: PROJECT #2 = Thanksgiving/Giving Thanks

notes for #2 =

21. base orange with white dot print paper = SU

22. leaves and feathers print cardstock = Recollections

23. 2 glitter leaves and 'give thanks' stickers = ?; sheet was not in its original packaging; I bought maybe 2-3 years ago

24. wood die-cut owl (added orange glitter paint pen) = Crafter's Square

25. strip of gems = forgot to look at packaging; new purchase

26. foam tape applied under the feathers/leaves cardstock to add some depth

Wedding = NBUS/Never Before Used Schtuff; started Oct 1st; on my wedding card 3 of the 4 prints on the large panel are first uses out of a paper pad that is old but new clearance purchase for me; and the same with the layered flower stick-on; old vendor product but new clearance purchase for me and first one for me to use out of the packaging; also the 2 little gold puffy dots (new purchase on Oct 12)/1st entry

purpose: this posting showcases my latest design team contributions to Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge Blog, formerly known as The Fairy and The Unicorn. 

when: #6.5 in 2024 is June 20 with #6 competition period from June 1-30, 2024 with anything goes fantasy theme plus a June fantasy focus option of fairy/fairies

what Project #1= HQFCB June 2024 fantasy focus option of fairy=

notes:

1. digital paper backdrop and the digi image of dragon with his fairy friend are from "A Fairy Tale's Autumn Fairy" = The Paper Shelter

2. the dragon and fairy image was colored with a variety of highlighters and alcohol markers; then some of the accessories (hat, scarf, umbrella, and girl's tights) were outlined with a detail tip black pen

3. layered leaves and plant stem stick-ons = Crafter's Square

4. yellow paper and lavender paper = Art Skills

5. orange 6" square cardstock base = Art Skills

6. black dual tip marker to outline paper and cardstocks = Art Skills

7. 'take good care' stamp = part of a 4 wood stamp set = ? Studio G or Hampton Arts

notes: LOVING how this turned out!; normally I don't give away cards/tags early, before it appears on a launched blog, but my sister-in-law was staying with us Saturday-Tuesday, so I sent the card with her! She loves it! 

11. sage green cardstock base 5" x 7" and the light blue cardstock panel about 4.5" x 4" for sky = Neenah

12. the cardstock for the cloud, 'dirt' and background are very old lightweight cardstocks = ? I think the company might not be longer in business

13. foam toadstool stickers and 'doll baby' = from Enchanted Garden by Fancy Pants Designs; also the gnome and toadstool home stickers

14. tonal teal cardstock scraps fussy cut into scrubby plants = older SU paper

15. silver/iridescent glitter paint = Art Skills (applied very sparingly over most of the card)

16. blue ink edging = with marker from stash

Featuring FQCB #35 Sunrise or Sunset theme DT card for 28 August 2023

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! This is a cockle-doodle-doo heart happy gig of a dance for this #35 themed card for FarmQuest! I'm thrilled with how the inking and colored pencils resulting scene turned out!

WHAT: FQCB is FarmQuest Challenge Blog; #35 farm or country theme is sunrise or sunset...please keep it farm or country look vibe. 

WHEN: August 28-September 13, 2023

SHOW and TELL:

1. mid-blue cardstock base is 5" wide x 6" high; Art Skills/Crafter's Closet

2. white cardstock base is 4" wide x 6" high; Neenah; inked using different hand motions with 7 different Memento ink pad colors to create a morning sunrise scene

3. five matching/coordinating colored pencils were used over the inking to make the scene full and complete; brown, green, light peach, yellow, light aqua blue

4. alpha tile stickers = Freckled Fawn

5. rooster die-cut = either Echo Park or Carta Bella

Featuring FQCB #28 Reminder Post Extra Inspiration for Rain Gear theme

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! This post features my love for country living through my challenge blog, FarmQuest. 

WHAT: FarmQuest Challenge Blog's #28 theme is Rain Gear

WHEN: #28 started on May 14 and May 20 is its midway point with competition ending at 12:30am CT/Chicago on May 27.

SHOW and TELL:

{theme #28 required elements: 2 different types of boots}

I've added to blue-gray clouds and rain streaks onto the country scene die-cut. Also the paper has tear-drop shapes.

1. Die-cuts plus background print paper panel are a mix of Simple Stories card kit elements and from Fancy Pants Designs (2 different ephemera packs)

2. blue-gray colored pencil used on cloud die-cuts; perimeters inked in blue; and then phrasing handwritten

3. blue-gray colored pencil streaks of rain added to the country scene die-cut

4. background panel and white cardstock base (A2 size) were given distressed edges
