On this personal paper-crafting blog for love and country creativity, I'm sharing a card made for the very first competition at my friend's new challenge blog "A Barrel Of Monkeys Challenges". Deanne has used the toy 'barrel of monkeys' as the very first theme. My entry has a barrel and lots of blues, reds, and yellows like the colors used for the plastic monkeys but I've gone with a farm country look with my interpretation. Vendor and design notes: 1.   Hello! Last week I joined a FB group that does weekly swap events of different kinds for junk journal craft-artisans. I signed up for an event the day after I joined for altering 2 security window business envelopes per swapping. I decided to go all gusto and signed up for 2 partners!! Mine to get have not been received yet but my receivers have mine so I can now share online!  I did 3 almost identical to each other except for color tones and then ventured out to do 1 with different stamps and stencils. Belly bands/closures are different for each which are extra items that I didn't have to do. These were my FIRST altered envelopes to ever do!!!! It was scary at first but I quickly figured out how to do a 'template' to do the paper application layer all in 1 piece!!! Welcome to this personal paper-crafting blog featuring FarmQuest's Theme #22 reminder inspiration project, a cute little ATC.  ** Details: Heart's Quest Challenge Blog; Theme #24; reminder post; deadline is 12:30am CST/Chicago on February 27, 2023; theme #24 is mason jar(s) /canning jars can be blue glass, clear glass, etc.  Reminder inspiration project  "Home Is Where Your Heart Is" ATC: [theme #22 requirement element = stamped mason jar image] Artist Trading Cards are sized at 2.5" x 3.5". The mulberry/red grape patterned paper is a scrap for the background and kraft cardstock scrap cut for the base. The die-cut is from Echo Park's Farmer's Market collection of die-cuts/ephemera. I've altered all 3 flowers in order to match the colors I used for the hearts in the jar. The stamp was applied to a textured white paper and it was great for using the markers for the hearts and colored pencils for the glass and lid.  I'm thinking that t

  Heartfelt Greetings to my personal paper-crafting blog posting about my DT inspiration card for Heart's Quest Theme #24!! Theme #24 requires 2 parts: *use at least 1 heart/love (heart shape or word; word love) AND *use at least 1 image/element related to St. Patrick's Day occasion Competition runs from February 14 to February 27, 2023.  ------------------------ I decided to not use clipart, digital, or stamped image for a focal. I created my own washi tape heart with the wood lasered phrase "kiss me"!!! This lasered die-cut has 3 layers on it: red marker, orange glitter paint pen, and then topped with gold glitter acrylic paint. For St. Patty's elements, I have lots of greens and oranges (looks peach), clovers, rainbows, and the "kiss me" (part of the phrase--Kiss me. I'm Irish.)   Howdy! This personal paper-crafting blog is featuring FarmQuest Theme #22 Mason Jars design team inspiration card that I made!  FQCB Theme #22 will run from February 14 to February 27, 2023. You can have 1 of more mason jars--any size, can have something in or not, etc. ---------------------- I decided to go with a garden tea party with shabby chic look that is very feminine and romantic. Temperatures are better this week in northern Illinois (40s) but they are still a bit chilly to eat lunch outside! I'm looking forward to sitting on either of our small decks for our meals! We've got decks on the east end and the southwest corner. The east end has a large maple tree about 30 steps away, so sometimes we seek it out for a bit of shade if the timing is right. There's no shade for the SW one.  Back to the reason for the blog post--Mason jars!  Didn't this mash-up turn out pretty?!!?! I like the idea of using 2 mason jars and then having that sticker sentiment phrase:

The commitments vary in length, start dates, and topics.   Howdy! FarmQuest #21 has reached the midway point in its competition! (February 6) Deadline is 12:30am CST/Chicago on February 13, 2023. The theme is hay/straw.  Theme #21 can be hay/straw bales, loose hay in a haymow or loft or haystack. It can be loose hay or bales for a hayride just like the image I found at ClipArt Library website. I sized the clipart hayride image 2 different ways and then colored them very similarly.
